  1. Day 1 Day 1

    After an early breakfast, you will be picked up from your hotel for the hour and a half’s journey to the Bengoh Dam Jetty for the start of your adventure. A half an hour’s boat ride takes you to the trailhead where you will commence your trek to Village 1. Enjoy your packed lunch at Eagle’s Viewpoint enroute. Expect to arrive at your homestay at Village 1 in the later part of the afternoon. After settling in, enjoy afternoon tea and some free and easy time exploring the surrounds. As dusk falls, freshen up and get ready for your home cooked dinner at your homestay. Spend some time interacting with your host after dinner before retiring to bed.

  2. Day 2 Day 2

    Wake up before daybreak and weather permitting, proceed trekking to welcome the sunrise high atop a hill nearby. The golden rays and the shifting mist and clouds make for a spectacular sight. Head back down to your homestay for a refreshing shower and breakfast, after which you will need to pack up and get ready to commence your new day’s trekking adventure.

    Your trek to Puba’an Shushung Waterfalls takes you through some established secondary forests and farmlands where your host will gather and explain some of the plants and its uses along the way. Arrive at the magnificent waterfall before noon for a refreshing dip in its icy cold water. Enjoy some time exploring this beautiful location as your host prepares your lunch traditionally cooked in bamboo.

    After a delicious lunch and some relaxing time, start your uphill trek to your next destination. This challenging 3 hours episode takes you through some thick secondary forest. As you emerge high onto the hillsides with hill rice fields all around, take in the vistas of the fabulous Borneon rainforest all around you as you trek higher. Walking on through forests, farmlands and crossing fresh streams on simple bamboo bridges, you arrive at Village 2 late in the afternoon.

    After settling into your room at the headman’s house, enjoy afternoon tea and explore the village and engage with the friendly villagers. Dinner will be served at your residence and continue to socialize with your host and villagers before retiring to bed.

  3. Day 3 Day 3

    Rise early and take an easy walk uphill to the knoll just behind the village to enjoy yet another magnificent sunrise. The serenely beautiful vistas of the surrounding landscape coupled with forest sounds and the occasional cockcrow is truly a sight to behold.

    Head back down to your residence for breakfast and spend sometime free and easy time before starting your trek downhill to the pickup point mid-morning. Expect to arrive at pickup point just before noon to meet your transport back to Kuching. Stop for lunch at the 10th Mile Bazaar and arrive back at your hotel mid-afternoon.
