Use our activity ratings to match your ideal tour.
Our activity meter has been designed to help you decide which of our tours best suits your needs.
We do not want to send you halfway up a mountain only to discover this is far more extreme than you bargained for.
Each tour comes with its own physical rating, starting from Leisurely up to Extreme
These levels of endurance have been calculated upon the physical effort required during the said tour.
Each tour has been carefully dissected into the amount of trekking and rigorous activity involved in partaking in the said tour.
Although, everyone has different levels of fitness and their own interpretation on what is easy and hard, our meter is a guideline to give you an idea on what will be required from you to get the most out of our tours.
As a general rule of thumb, you should be in good physical and mental health before you attempt to join any of our tours.
As some of the tours require you to join up with other travelers on the same tour, you also owe it to them to be all at the same level of fitness.
Please ensure you look carefully at the level descriptions below and match your physical abilities likewise.
Before you panic and close the page, help is at hand. Should you have any disconcerting questions regarding your physical ability then either consult your doctor or contact us and see if we can provide you with a more information on the said tour.
In the past, we had a couple of 25-year-old rugby players that only made it halfway up mount Santubong before they decided to give up and come back down. We also had an elderly couple of a mere 77 years that managed to trek all around Bako Np over a weekend and then flew off on the Monday to Bario to trek some more! So, as you can see everyone is different and only you know your limitations.
