  1. Day 1 Pickup

Early pickup from your Kuching hotel for the hour and a half road journey to the coastal fishing village of Sematan due West of Kuching. Upon your arrival, get aboard your boat for the slightly over an hour’s ride tracing the Borneo coastline to Tanjung Datu National Park (TDNP).

Dependent on sea conditions, expect to arrive at TDNP around midday and check into your accommodation at the park headquarters. Enjoy a packed lunch and spend the early afternoon free and easy to soak up your new surroundings. Your guide will take you on a trek up the Belian trail around mid afternoon where you may spot interesting wildlife including Hornbills overhead. Be awed by the gigantic trees and pristine primary tropical rainforest as you trek along. Returning to the headquarters, spend the late afternoon enjoying the warm clean waters on the beach as you take in the gorgeous sunset light. After dinner, tag along with your guide to do some night wildlife spotting around the headquarters, with luck on your side, you might spot Civets, Slow Loris and other exotic nocturnal animals out and about.

  2. Day 2 Trekking

Enjoy welcoming the daybreak on the deserted beach as you try to figure out the many animals leaving footprints big and small on the sand. After breakfast at the park quarters, take on the relatively short trek along the Pasir Antu Laut trail and keep a watch out for monkeys and other wildlife about. After lunch at the quarters, spend the rest of the afternoon exploring the other trails and enjoy the beach. Do another spot of night wildlife spotting after dinner along the Pasir Antu Laut trail this time.

  3. Day 3 Depart

Sleep in or greet the sunrise on the beach at your own pleasure. After a leisurely breakfast get back aboard your boat for your return journey back to Sematan passing the turtle islands of Talang Talang enroute. Enjoy a simple lunch at the Sematan bazaar before departing back to Kuching in the early afternoon.
