Borneo’s highest mountain Mount Kinabalu standing majestically at 13,435 ft. or 4,095 metres in the North is a magnet for adventurers and nature lovers.  Accorded UNESCO World Heritage status for its great bio-diversity comprising around 6,000 plant species, 306 species of Birds and over 100 mammals, it is one of the main attractions for travellers to Borneo.  Other peaks with similarly impressive bio-diversity around the island include Gunung Api at 5,741 ft. or 1,750 metres, Mount Santubong at 2,658 ft. or 810 metres and a long list more.  These mountains make for great nature appreciation and climbing adventures.
